Lockleaze Domestic Abuse Forum

The Lockleaze and Horfield Domestic Abuse Forum

The Forum aims to:

  • raise awareness and share information
  • carry out research
  • review and discuss issues related to domestic abuse and
  • link with citywide networks to share local experience, access resources and influence policy makers.

The forum brings together representatives from statutory and voluntary organisations in the area.

So far, the Forum has:

  • Produced a "Zero Tolerance" leaflet which gives information on where to go to access support.  This has just been updated.
  • Carried out research amongst agencies in the area and, in response, developed training to raise awareness about issues related to domestic abuse.  This was funded through Neighbourhood Renewal.
  • Had exhibitions at the Health Centre and a stand at the Feeling Good, Feeling Safe Day held in Lockleaze last year.

On the 2nd March the Forum invited residents and agencies to a launch of the new leaflet and their 5 year action plan.
