Community Groups at the Cameron Centre
The Cameron Centre is available to hire for anyone who wants to use it to run a class or group for the community. At the moment, the following groups meet here regularly – if you’re interested in joining one of them, please come along to a session. Any questions please call the numbers given.
Mondays:
Gentle Exercise, 10.15-11.15 am, weekly, term-time only
Good music, good company and lots of fun.
Venue and class are wheelchair accessible.

Knit and Natter, 1-3pm, weekly
Come and chat, learn how to knit, teach others how to knit or just come and knit and make friends.

Tuesdays:
Short Mat Bowls, 1.30-3.30pm, weekly
You don’t need to know the rules or technique. Everyone is friendly and patient, and will pass on their knowledge and skills. Come along to meet people and get a little bit of gentle exercise. All abilities welcome.

Lockleaze Voice, 7.00-9.00pm, once a month
Lockleaze Voice meets to discuss concerns about the Lockleaze area and community. Anyone with an interest is welcome along.

Wednesdays:
Arts and Crafts Group, 9.30am-12.30, weekly, term-time only
You are every welcome at this friendly and creative group. All abilities welcome. Led by a tutor and planned by the group. Refreshments provided.

Wednesday Walking Group, 1.30-2.30pm, weekly
Walks for all abilities with Debbie our local Health Trainer.

Come and have a game of bingo, a chat and a cuppa. We are all over 50 and welcome new people.

Little Treasures Parent and Toddler group, 9.30-11.30am, weekly, term-time only
Activities and free refreshments each week, as well as occasional trips. Come along and relax in enjoyable company.

Slimming World, 7pm – 8.30pm, weekly
Join the local Slimming World, receive support to lose weight and be healthy.

TaeKwondo & Karate, 12.00-1.30pm, weekly
Karate class for children of all ages - no experience necessary.

Your chance to see the local Police and local Liberal Democrat Councillor. Bring your questions, comments or ask for advice about an issue that effects you and your family.

Dayspring Christian Fellowship, 11.00-12.00, weekly
Dayspring Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational group which meets at Lockleaze the Cameron Centre every Sunday at 11:00 am for worship. We are a Bible-believing group, happy to welcome others to our brief time of worship. We share the simple truth of the Gospel and seek to be caring and supportive to those who may wish to be open to communicate their spiritual need.
